I just wanna hold ya

Hello, here is an update on my life:

1. Completed the eleventh consecutive day of Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred today guys I'm NOT even kidding I haven't taken a single rest day!!!!!! And my whole body hurt for a while but I feel great now and I'm eating better and the other day I ran like SERIOUSLY far, and faster than ever! So they are all great things that I am happy to be doing. I feel really satisfied after a killah workout and even though doing exercise videos at home is not very ~ C h a n e l ~ of me I don't care because I can do walking pushups and burpees and oblique twists and not many people I know in real life can do that. So what-e v a.

2. Music things! WOW it's actually been CRAZY these past few weeks. On top of a trillion Nebraskatak gigs, practices, meetings, masterings, etc etc, I've been emailing and researching and contacting and getting nervous/excited about the year ahead for me, and for us as a band. Already we have played at one of our milestone-venues, and have even  managed to bag our EP launch AND an April residency there! The EP was mastered today, and we listened to it super loudly and it sounds really good and I even teared up a little bit (happens all the time doesn't matter).

I have also been working pretty hard on some music for Frida. I have about an EP's worth of material and my angel Lewis has taken the role of million dolla producer, agreeing to help me record some work. We had our first ~ session ~ yesterday, and it was really great because in between working really hard, listening really hard, and recording trillions of takes, we got to kiss each other's faces. Professionally, of course.

Another music related thing I guess - I am extending my teaching hours this year. For those of you who don't know, I teach piano and voice lessons from home after school and on the weekends. I have been handing out flyers and putting up posters and stuff and have several new students. If you're interested, call me maybe...

3. Travel. This one's exciting and wonderful and a bit scary. Lewis and I are tentatively planning a trip to Europe in the uni holidays - for about three weeks, we want to go from London to Berlin. We've been scrounging the depths of StudentFlights.com.au for the cheapest flight deals, learning quickly and harshly that 'cheap' in airfare language really  means 'not actually THAT cheap'.

Also, we got ducklings. I don't know.
