We just gotta roll on. I am sad about some things but I am realising very quickly that feelings do not and can not get in the way of everyday tasks and life ambitions. 

So recording with Frida is done for now, and I'm exhausted but very, very happy, and excited about mixing the little darling next week. Our sound engineer was a wonderful person who I kind of wanted to call Uncle Lachlan - he took my boys' drongoisms in good humour but also told us his opinion in all honesty and frankness, just like a good engineer should do, and also stressed the fact that whatever he said was just that - opinions. There are many, many opinions in the recording studio, which is a good/bad thing. You just have to stand back, forget pride, and remember the little embryo of a song that you began with - the little spark.
