Seashore Hotel, Mumbai
I had a really beautiful weekend. I cried about how messy my room is, and still is, because I have too many thoughts in my head but I also pulled on my now-perfectly-fitting jeans and felt happy about that at least. I spent a fair bit of time in a teepee last night, rolling cigarettes and giggling over silly things and realising that I have nearly been holding the hand I have exclusively been holding for almost a year now and how very wonderful that feels.
Tomorrow I have a funny day planned - I am expecting a call from Singapore at around 3pm for a phone interview about Frida, then teaching my little ones, then long overdue dinner with my girlfriends before rushing off to The Evelyn for The Cactus Channel's residency where I am lending a lung (or two) to a song for them.
Day by day by day by day time inches closer to my maiden voyage to Singapore and India. I am equal parts terrified and trembling with excitement and joy that I will be having this adventure and sharing with my Lewis, and my new(ish) friends. The trip is never far from my mind and it is such a huge thing that is now not so very far away in the distance.
