Don't let anybody fuck with you

I love The Bulgarian Women's Choir. How incredible. The harmonies! The melodies! The outfits! The great half-crowns they are wearing! Phenomenal...

I probably should be doing some really in-depth analysis of my life at the moment, as I'm two days away from turning twenty and saying goodbye to my teenage years with a good old-fashioned picnic in the park with friends. It's the biggest thing that's about to happen to me since I found out I was going to Singapore and India and also since I made the switch from skinny latte to long black.

I hate the idea of being 20, hashtag GRANDMA. So I don't wanna talk about it. Urgh...

Actually I want to talk about a couple of blogs I've been reading for quite a while now. I have a tumblr account (lol) and I follow several blogs on there because I find that the environment can be really intriguing  I have found a small percentage of blogs that are thoughtful, funny, sassy, heart-breakingly honest and incredibly immersive, run predominantly by teenage girls (tumblr's main squeeze). Here are a couple...

This blog is run by Sam, from Connecticut. She is home-schooled, after leaving mainstream high school after some personal issues. She's just been accepted into college in Boston I think? She has a cat called Romeo, excellent taste in books and music, and about a gajillion followers on tumblr. I like reading about her life. I know about her relationship with her Mum, and her Dad, and her sister, I know what anti-psychotic medication she's on, I know that she is short, speaks Spanish and is learning Chinese, getting her hair cut on my birthday, and has a massive crush on Kristen Stewart. I highly recommend her blog - what an insightful, intelligent and fascinating young mind she has.

I like Rose very much. She encapsulates a lotta tumblr: sass, sarcasm, severe anxiety and personal issues. Her blog became popular as her health and wellbeing deteriorated, which resulted in her being admitted into an inpatient program for young people with eating disorders. She's in recovery mode at present, ecstatic about food, healthy, bright, outspoken and ~gettin' white gurl wasted~. She's a badass bitch from hell with a heart of gold. I read her blog because I want to see her happy.

I love these blogs because I can relate to them and I like seeing how other readers can relate to them too. I love reading the messages they receive from others because they prove how they inspire and excite other young people.
