Vibin'

I'm sick again with that weird sickness of healthy people that is undefinable and lingering and just makes me want to go to bed forever urgh!!!!

Thinking through that annoying haze of wooziness is hard so I just end up looking at pictures of Tavi Gevinson and trying to force myself to do something silly or at least a little productive. These pictures below are from this website. If you haven't perused this obsessively yet, I weep for you and your life. Get educated. Seriously

It was Tavi who taught me the invaluable nature of the word VIBES. Well actually, Tavi and my big sister Minna who also reads the vibes. Just the other day my girlfriends and I were having dinner and we were giggling and talking about something and my friend was like 'God, Eilish, you and your VIBES...' and I just kind of shrugged. I use the word to describe pretty much everything ever, which means my friends sometimes roll their eyes when I earnestly refer to them for like the millionth time in an hour. Vibes refer to the general mood or inspiration of my daily outfit (today's vibes: so lazy/dents in the couch from sitting on it too long/haven't washed my hair for a week/looking at my runners sadly = wooly comfort jumper + too big jeans + hair bun + frown (OK so the vibes today are lame but you get it)), to the way in which humans relate to each other (like the vibes must be positive to be able to make new friends and negative vibes will repel others etc) to the way we produce something creatively and the respective whens/hows/whats of the process and pretty much anything else you can think of all comes back down to the VIBES man.

It's just a great word that can be used to describe that otherwise indefinable energy that exudes from us and from the universe and compels us to do silly things and beautiful things and crazy things and nice things.

Today the vibes aren't really so bad. Soda's here and sleeping at my feet and morning television is telling me that I can lose 7 kilos in 7 days or something (awesome!) and my family is eating dinner on the other side of the world and I will do some work later. It's OK really.
